CITITEL HOTEL MANAGEMENT UNVEILS ITS 5-STAR PROPERTY

Cititel Hotel Management (CHM) – a subsidiary of IGB Corporation Berhad, is a successful home grown hotel management company and is continuing to seek opportunities in key Asian cities to build up its portfolio particularly in the three and four star categories.

Its latest addition includes the recently launched 2nd brand name “Cititel Express”, located along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. After 6 months of undergoing an extensive makeover, Cititel Express is the first of many express, in appealing to the mass-market segments. Positioned as an unpretentious with essential basic frills compared to the rest, the brand is valued focus in offering a “Clean, Simple & Smart” hotel.

Come early 2nd quarter of 2008, its first deluxe property – The Gardens Hotel & Residences, located within the upscale precinct of The Gardens, Mid Valley City shall open its door. Featuring 448 Deluxe, Executive and Premier rooms at the hotel and 179 expansive-sized full-service residences complemented with the “Sage”- a signature Japanese & French fusion restaurant, The Spread – an all day dining outlet , Yakitori Bar, Lobby Bar, The Common Room – exclusive for Residences guests, gym and infinity swimming pool. The Gardens Hotel & Residences shall be the 1st hotel in Malaysia in offering a non-smoking environment.

Undoubtedly this further enhances the selection of accommodation in the heart of Klang Valley, where within this location together with Cititel Mid Valley and Boulevard Hotel, it offers a combined total of over 1,600 rooms. This indisputably places the Mid Valley City location as a strategic and compelling destination of choice.

Current properties in the group include the Cititel Penang, Pangkor Island Beach Resort, Pangkor Island and the MiCasa Hotel Apartments, Yangon.

Other upcoming projects include the recent ground-breaking ceremony in Manila for a 400-room St. Giles, Makati, target to open end 2009, a major upgrading program of the MiCasa All Suite Hotel, Kuala Lumpur to pave the way for a 200-room full-service boutique residence (re-open in 2009), Cititel Express, Kota Kinabalu (mid 2009), Cititel Express, Penang (end 2009). Additional projects in the pipeline are in Ipoh, Johor Bahru, Bangkok, Vietnam and Sydney.
